Lockstep: it's book launch time!
Saturday, March 29 at 3, at Bakka Books here in Toronto
Fresh out of a dentist's appointment, I will be launching Lockstep at Bakka-Phoenix Books on Saturday, March 29 at 3:00. There'll be entertainment (me), copies of Lockstep to be signed and book-related ideas to be explained, and other novels to be bought (hint: we'll be breaking into the vault to offer some out-of-print hardcover editions of novels like Ventus and Permanence).
If you're really lucky you'll get to hear me do a reading with my mouth still frozen from the dentist. Major fun!
You can get to or contact Bakka-Phoenix here:
84 Harbord St., Toronto, Ontario M5S 1G5

Selling books off a table
...Assuming it doesn't rain. Come on out!
On Saturday, May 30, between 10:00 a.m and 3:00 p.m., I'll be selling my wares at the annual Earl Beatty Fun Fair & Ball Hockey Tournament. I'll have rare hardcovers of Permanence and Lady of Mazes, and I'll be signing of course.
The fun fair's at 55 Woodington Avenue, Toronto, in the South-East playground.
If you're good, they might even let you in the bouncey-castle.

Audio versions of Virga books
I've sold the first three, which make a complete trilogy; will there be more?
Tor just informed me that MacMillan has bought the audio rights to the first three Virga books: Sun of Suns, Queen of Candesce, and Pirate Sun. This is fantastic news! I'm looking forward to listening to them myself, just to get a sense of how my words and sentences roll and what sort of music they have when read by someone else.
I hope they decide to pick up the fourth contracted book, The Sunless Countries; but the first three constitute one complete plot arc--a trilogy, if you will, although not all questions raised in them are answered--and TSC is more of a stand-alone. We shall see. Meanwhile, I couldn't be happier.
